چکیده

Abstract Increasing soil salinity in some agricultural areas due to global climate change is an obstacle horticultural crop cultivation. Chili pepper ( Capsicum frutescens L.) important that has high economic values but the extensive cultivation saline land can reduce yields. Plant tolerance must be increased able adapt stress conditions. One method used seed priming, which pre-soaking seeds increase germination under unfavourable This study aimed determine effect of osmopriming using PEG 6000 on growth and physiological responses chili stress. The experimental design this included two factors: concentration (0, 12.5 25%) 0, 2000, 4000 ppm NaCl. observed parameters were 1) (percentage rate germination, synchronization); 2) (plant height; root length; dry weight roots shoot, number fruits, fruit capsaicin level); 3) analysis (chlorophyll proline levels). Seed with 25% plant Chlorophyll level while decreased 6000. By studying stress, role reducing harmful effects determined.

The Effect of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles on the Physiological Characteristics in Pepper (Capsicum annum L.) under Salinity Stress

In this study, the effect of spraying of Zinc oxide nanoparticles at three concentrations (0, 1000 and 2000 ppm) on the response of Capsicum annuum L. to different levels of salinity (0, 25, 50 and 75 mM NaCl) was evaluated. The experiment was carried out as factorial based on randomized complete block design with four replications in pot culture conditions. The high concentration of salt and Z...

Effect of seed priming with selenium nanoparticles and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria on improving Quinoa seedling growth under salinity stress

Soil and water salinity are the most important problems that limit crop production, especially in the arid and semi-arid regions. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of growth-promoting bacteria and selenium nanoparticle pretreatment on increasing the tolerance of the Chenopodium quinoa plant to salinity. A factorial experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with...

Growth Responses of Secale cereale and S. ceremont to Priming Treatments under Salinity Stress

Soil salinity affects a large part of the region in Iran. Salinity covers 12.5% oftotal area of the country. Priming of seeds in sodium chloride and water (hydro-priming)has been reported to be a simple technique for enhancing the seedling establishment andgermination performance in the seeds of many crops and small seeded grasses under thestress conditions. Therefore, the aim of this research ...
